In the Old Testament, offerings made to the Lord had to be of the utmost quality and the first fruits. And then the offerings had to be sanctified before they were brought before the Lord. In the same way, we should purfiy ourselves when we present ourselves to God. This means asking the Lord to reveal our sins to us. Sometimes we may have hidden them for so long that only the Lord can bring them to light. Ask him to help you resist temptation because opening the door even just a little bit can be a gateway. Oh lord, I pray that you would purify my heart!    Report
