I know in my heart that without God I am nonething,and with that said I have to make a statment: WE ARE ALL CALLED TO HOLINESS!!! Holiness is a lifestyle, you got to work at it daily.Holiness is practiced in what we do and say, some would even go as far to say in what we wear or where we go.I cant speak for everyone but I do know that the word of GOD says "be ye holy for I am holy" it says that HE meaning GOD does not and cannot love in any unclean thing.Now as far as GRACE is concerned , that is un merited favor with GOD, that we Dont deserve. so if we are truly a child of the most high why would we put him back on the cross by being unholy on purpose. Yes, yes I know God does know our heart but please dont get it twisted, that does not give us (real christians) an open invitation to do what we want.Yall know what Im talking about. Joined on 05-29-2007 California, United States Posts 2 Re: A CALL TO HOLINESS I think one of the hardest thing to overcome is that we are not Holy in ourselves, for Holiness is Perfection, and Jesus is the only Perfect Man ever to  walk this earth...So, we strive to "become" something that we could never possibly achieve. Oh no, the "Holy" that we are called to be, is God's Holy! We are the empty vessels that God has called forth to fill up with His stuff...His Grace; His Faith; His Love; His Holiness! 2 Tim. 2:19,20,21... It's when we are trying to become holy is when we always fail...But when we give up the effort, and be still and know He is God, that's when we are being holy. satan loves whispering in the Saints' ears that they aren't holy enough....so we run and run and run after the 'holy brass ring'; but that's not what God said...He said, " Be Holy because I am Holy".. 1 Peter 1:16...And, Ps 23 says that "He annoints my head with oil, my cup overflows!  As we fill ourselves up with the things of God; as we feed on His Word; we are filled with His Holiness!" For by Grace are you saved through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; Not by works, lest any man should boast." Eph. 2:8&9...And, it really is that easy, that effortless, that simple...so why is life such a struggle? How come we are suffering, mourning, crying in anguish; constanly fighting doubt and unbelief?  The Lord proclaimed this to Mankind in the Garden of Eden... we had it all; we were perfect, holy....but you all know the story...so now, we are holy only in Jesus, only through Jesus, and only because of Jesus! Praise Him Saints! Glorify His Name! For, He is the Light of the World; and all who come to God through Him will bask in His Grace, His Love and His Holiness!!!    Report
