Losing Weight

I feel a little guilty posting on this topic, since I am in need of losing weight myself now.  But for what it is worth, I have found that a diet that is low in carbs works best for me - something like Atkins or South Beach.  I can stick to that diet because I can still have things I like to eat - proteins, mostly - and lose weight at a reasonable rate, too.

The problem is that as soon as I go back to eating normally, I start gaining the weight right back - plus a few "extra" pounds!   That is where I am now.

I realize that I am going to have to make eating right, eating smaller portions, and eating the right things a way of life, not just a diet.

I really enjoyed reading Dr. Joe Christiano's articles on "Reaching Your Ideal Weight for Life" on Streaming Faith.  It is a three part series - parts one and two are already on the site and I think part three is due any day now.
