Ms Koddi, I agree with you about not trying to regain the body we once had when we were nineteen but maybe this will change your mind. Two year this June 22, I received a kidney transplant. I lost some much weight because I was very sick. Most of my female cousin though that I enjoyed being thin but it was horrible. In my heart I feel the God put me through that illness for ten years so I could really get to know ME! Once I received my transplant my doctor wanted me to walk, swim and exercise. I have to admit it was hard because I had not been inside a gym since I was twenty-one, I went to a transplant picnic and I was shock! Most of the transplanted patients were over weight, and I have to say that I was scared because the weight make your heart beat faster and harder and then your kidneys are over worked. And I did not want to loose this gift of life that the Lord provided for me. Sorry for the sermon...
But I want you to start walking in the neighborhood, walk one block for two weeks and build up. If you decide to go to a gym get a trainer for one session so they can show you how to work the trendmill and basic floor excerises that you can do at home. Start off going to the gym twice a week and build from there. And most of all before you go to the gym ask the Father to guide you through YOUR process and no one else.
Focusing on me was hard to do but God gives us these tools and we forget to use them to help with our fitness life. Lastly, Im 41 soon to be 42 next month.
