If we look simply to the scripture regarding being unequally yoked that says it all, but if more is needed we can look at several accounts where relationships were formed outside of what God commanded and the consequences that were faced because of this decision. Two people that come to mind are Sampson and Solomon. They forewent what they knew God commanded and followed their fleshly desires only to find themselves losing what God had given them. Also, Christians dating non-Christians can not only draw one away from God towards adapting standards that go against God's word, but how can two walk together unless they agree? Also, furthermore, to date with God's purpose and design in mind would be with the intention of marriage and if this is the case two can never truly become one in Christ if the spouse is an unbeliever.    Report
