He told me some days ago. The danger of dating a non Christian is, that a deeper relationship could come out of the date, and God is very clear, that a Christian should never be joked together with an unbeliever. Why should a Christian date an unbeliever, when he knows, what the bilble says about this? This is disobidience to the word of God. When somebody wants to win a person for Chrsit, you do not need to date that person. My son thinks, that the girl is the right wife for him. So I had to tell him, what the bible says about the situation and that he can only marry her, when she is saved.    Report

All you can do is trust what you've taught your son and trust that he will make the right decision. Intercede for this situation. I was 18 when I got married and the reason why I did it was my anxious spirit. My and my husband was anxious to be together and we suffered consequences. I tell people that it's best to wait especially when you are both babes in christ. I got closer to God in my marriage but it was a lot of suffering. We now have a mature Godly foundational marriage. My husband has his personal relationship with God finally. I loved the ideal of him loving me but as I got close to God I desired for him to love God more than he loved me and love me the way God says so. Our marriage has been graced but not all marriages end up that way. I pray that all is well for your son. May the lord give Him wisdom and guidance in this big decision. God bless.    Report

I myself married a fellow whose family were believer's, but yet he wasn't, but proclaimed a higher power. Things didn't go to well, because his higher power did not match up to my Trinity: God, the father; Jesus, the son, Holy Spirit, and his ways of thinking were completely off. If we reflect back in the old testament, where God told moses to tell the Israelites not to intermarry with certain tribes, these are the very tribes he's talking about today, non-believers. Reason being, as God stayed, "THEY WILL TURN YOU TO THEIR WAYS, AND THEIR gods. From experience, I don't think Christians, should date or marry non-christians.    Report
