Has the Church Become too Political?

I don't think the church is getting too political but I think what is happening is politicians are drawing the church into the political arena. I am African American and politicians have used African Americans for years to get and remain in control politically and the same thing is happening when it comes to Christians. Politicians love to use division to help them gain and stay in control politically. We have to be mindful of this and when we vote, we should not allow smooth talk from either side to sway us but let God's principles and ideas sway us instead. When a politician says this or that is right or wrong and God says this is right or this is wrong, who's report are you going to believe? That's the question.

Hmmm, interesting.  These Churches who you are speaking of do they have debt?  For if they (elders, pastors) run the congregation like a business than it wouldn't surprise me.  For you see, Man is at the head of those congregations, not Yeshua the Messiah.  So, it wouldn't surprise me.  Nothing Man or Satan does surprises me actually...

I am very glad that you brought that up Mr.(or Ms.) Bible Hero.

The Church is run by MAN.

::gasp:: I can already hear all of you catching your breath and stretching your fingers for a quick retort. Hear me out.

Though many churches and church-goers have the purest of intentions in mind, remember that those who are in the highest positions of the church are still human. You are human. I am human. And, by nature, humans are errant creatures. Often, humans can be evil as well.

We must be wary of Satan's hand within the church and within your own mind before you can go speaking about Satan's foothold in the country. Because, essentially, that is where his power begins.

I mentioned this in another post: the Sadducees ran the church in Jesus' time. So, before you go thinking that it is impossible that the church can fall into corruption, remember that it happened then. And, quite frankly, it is happening now.
