I use the NIV for studying purposes.  It is easier for me to digest and it tends to simplify the scriptures for me. I use the KJV for formal worship.  More than likely this version will be used it services.  It's pretty much universal or the norm... Hi I have a comment about the NIV version that in a number of scriptures referncing Gods power in us is somewhat watered down. Check Iasiah 45:11 and also check how the NASV has it written. HUGE difference. We can confirm our sonship in Psalm 82:5,6 that speaks our lack of understanding of relationship somewhat driven by a watered down interpretation to hold us in a spirit of religion denying relational intimacy to direct the hands of God.
