07-17-2009, 1:03 PM lilbay Joined on 07-16-2009 Posts 2 I have So Much I am Thankful for I have so very much to be Thankful for and I Thank God for blessing me so much. You see I am disabled and have no means of getting around to doctors and stuff. A few months back I ran into a old friend who gave me the number of another old friend i had not sen in years. Turns out he has turned his life to Christ and is really doing well. He and i have started talking again and he has been there for me to help me get to the Doctors appointments i need to get to. This by the way happened right when I started having some new and serious health issues. Those issues i may have ignored if I had not been Blessed with a friend who cares and makes sure i get to those appointments. I am also Thankful that God has Blessed me with two wonderful sons. My boys live with me and are a HUGE help to me and love me so much. I also Thank God for my Two beautiful and smart Daughters (though I wish they could get through their anger and we could have a relationship) I Thank God for showing me the path of Recovery and keeping me on that path. I was a drug addict for 25 years. I was homeless living in a empty house. God put me on the path to find recovery and I am SO Thankful!!! I have come so far in my life in recovery and with God as a close and personal friend and savior. I thank God for watching over me all those years i was out there on my own alone. He never gave up on me He guided watched and protected me through it all and I am so Thankful for all He has given and done for me. I could list things and you would be like no way someone went through all that but i did go through it and Thanks to God i lived to tell the story. Maybe this is why God brought me through it all?? I do not know I used to really dwell on the WHY and i now accept that if there is a Why He will show me when it is time in Hos own time. If there is no reason than He done it because I am his child and He was with me to protect me because I asked him to. God is truly wonderful and without him well i know for sure i would not be here today. Believe me when i say He is there for you all you have to do is Call on Him. Again my list is a long one. I am Thankful to that because of my finding my friend again That he and another friend have shown me i need to grow in my relationship with God. I want to learn so much more and i want to share so much about him with others.    Report
