The Dream: Revealed
Reply Quote
Dr. Martin L. King's, "I Have a Dream," speech was perhaps the greatest oration in history, but even though his assassination prevented him from being alive today, I believe that his dream was revealed to him when he arrived at Heaven's Door and beheld the fullness of God's marvelous creation in complete harmony and reverence, underneath the glory of God.

I hear people say, "Keep the dream alive," but Martin believed in nonviolence as well as equity and justice for all of God's people. So, what aspect of the dream are they saying to keep alive? As I look around me; yes, I would agree that we have come a long way from slavery and segregation, but we are still riding on that old rusty boat of supremacy from the powers that be and dragged around by the chains of injustice and social inequality.

As for the leaders of the church, they have a difficult mountain to climb, if they want to "keep the dream alive." The church was revered by almost everyone during Martin's lifetime, but now, the mountain of immorality has covered the church and the leaders are looked down on, more than admired and lifted up on a pedestal. However, behind that mountain of immorality, God's beautiful church awaits and no matter the color of your skin – all are welcome for whosoever will, let him come.
