Comments:

I am so sorry for the loss of Bishop, but PRAISE GOD he is no longer in pain, but living oh so free and singing for Jesus. My prayers go out to the family. He will be greatly missed, but I know he would not want us to cry over him, but to rejoice in the Lord for him, and we SHALL see him again in GLORY.
I loved to watch him and mom on TBN, and have received many blessings from the two of them plus their children. Warm hugs to them all.
I was watching youtubes and was about to watch one of pop and mom, when somehow I ended up over here and found out about his passing.
Yeah, I was shocked, and saddened for the family, and for the family of God, we have lost another one of our great saints.
What a gloriouse day this is, he went home before us. That is where our saddness should be, is that we have been left behind, BUT ONLY for only a little while, then we shall meet again.

My heartfelt condolences to all the family. I'm up in Canada but I just loved Pop Winans. What a zeal for God and full energy and unafraid and unashaned strong faith. It was fun to hear and watch him sing with all his heart. I've followed the Winans for many years -maybe 35 or so?!? Long before he came on TBN he was a hit with me , but I'm so glad that the Crouch's gave him a platform for the old-time gospel. He typified what we could use a little more of --- that is full -on powerful strong man-like faith. Pop Winan's had that. He was manish. Please keep it up and let's get back to faith that's powerful like that again. My love to all the family ...Chris ..PS I sing also and my favorite style is --Yes-- black gospel music from a saved life. Thanks Pops

What a mighty Warriour has gone to be with our saviour. Pop Winans will be miss so much. I was already missing him when I did not see him and Mom Winans on T.V. latley. I ask God two days ago where was pop Winans? I turn on my computer and low and behold I got my anwsere.

God was letting me know right then, I have him my sweet child.

God gave the World Mom & Pop Winans, and then he allowed the world to have a bonus, {The Winans Children.} A Giant in God has gone home. He will be miss by many. Without knowing or hearing much about "Pop" back in the early days when the "Four other children" encouraged and changed lives and made the Winans a household name, I knew Pop had to be a special man and father. I am glad Pop really got a chance to see and enjoy how our Lord was able to work through the children. I thank God for the good example Pop set as positive, Godly, father. I am sorry for the pain that goes along with the flesh no longer being present, but I rejoice with you for the glorified body that has now been revealed to him. I praise God for his voice rejoicing in the Lord before His throne. Each time I go before the Lord in worship I will remember "Pop" is there in person and shout out a praise for it! I mourn with you as you mourn, but I celebrate his "eternity" in Christ Jesus with you even the more. Even in this, your faith will see you through. Thank you, Lord for the life of your servant, who always encouraged me when I viewed him on TBN, and at various gospel music events and awards ceremonies. A man, ,who praised God with all his might, and I was touched in a special way each time i was blessed to share in worship and praise unto God with this great man. Thank you for his family, and the faithful legacy which he leaves behind in the lives of his wife, children, and granchildren. We have been so privileged to have witnessed the life of this faithful man of God. My prayers are with the Winans at this time that they will be comforted by their memories and know that they will reunite with him again one day!

Their dad has left a wonderful legacy through his family. What an awesome testimony that God was able to use his offspring to touch a generation with the message of the Gospel. As a youth their songs helped me to stand strong in my faith.

Through his obedience he was able to help raise a Godly seed like Abraham. And the world is blessed because of it. He is now in that great cloud of witnesses with his son Ronald now cheering us on to "...forget about tomorrow ... choose the Lord today!, ...break up that fallow ground.....and..Trust in God!
