This is true I can say, I recently moved to NC. I was very active in my home church, I was bless to have a wonderful pastor and first lady back home..well looking for a church here is hard, and yes I am letting the Lord lead me, I went to a church visiting for some time, I speak, smile, and try to do things there even if I have not joined, the title ones don't speak, I was look down on, and yhr people made me feel like I was nothing, If you are not a like them they treat you like whatever, but they shout, speak in whatever tougues and when you still you speak after church they look at you like you are crazy. I came looking for a place to worship, they did not know that I came from the same church org., and was ordain in the church I did not come and give a title, maybe I would have been treated diffrent if I did, well I am seaching still. Some of the Gods people do not treat people with love, and that is not God, because God is Love

When a child has a guest, he must know how to share, how to put others first, how to be fair etc. The child is taught this by the parent. If the child does not not how to be hospitable he has been ill taught. Perhaps the church should spend more time in teaching the love of Christ and humility and less time speaking on money and deliverance. Perhaps if we practice constantly doing the will of God, there would be less need for deliverance. A tree (pastor) is known by the fruit it bears. And yes, this is the pastors job. Why else do we need pastors if we can just read the bible and some of us practice it and others not.

So often, our fear of transparency regarding our personal struggles in our walk costs us the opportunity to share our testimonies with those following the same path. Many times it is because we have yet to look ourselves in the mirror and say "Yes, I did that. Yes, I had multiple partners. Yes, I had premarital or extramarital sex. Yes, I was a liar. Yes, I was a thief. Yes to whatever my sin was." We have to draw on the strength within us to acknowledge our sins and then draw on the grace and mercy afforded to us to repent. Once we come full circle, we can share openly our struggles and witness to a soul in need. Our struggles are not only for our lessons, but for those we encounter. We are to "strengthen our brethren."So to anyone who can relate personally to this message, I say be not ashamed of your past or sins but walk in love and wisdom of the light waiting to shine from within you. And to those in the church, remember that we are not shun anyone but to encourage every soul in Christ. Our actions can be all that it takes to save a soul or kill a soul. Before judging someone, ask yourself which part of that mission do you want to participate in. Be Blessed Family.

Your article was right on time. If we the church would return to our first love we can become the place of love, healing, deliverance etc. But we are too concerned about how many members are in our church, how beautiful the buildings are and how well the pastor preaches, but I have to ask where is the presence of God and where is the anointing? We look down on those coming in trying to get a true relationship with the savior, while we go through the motions week after week working for man and not for God and live not according to the word or the will of God. The church is so caught up in rituals that they have forsaken the relationship with God. Church return to your first love JESUS CHRIST!!!

I think we must follow Jesus, because He teaches us how to live with people, I know that there's too much weird people, unnaceptable, but we can help them, just like the article says, and we can guide them in the Path to our God and our Savior! Just let's be tolerant and pacient, just like Jesus! Let's work brothers and sisters!

What a beautiful and "true" word from the Lord Tanya. It should be a wake up call and a Holy slap in the face for all of us regarding how we represent our Lord in and out of church. If people don't see the true nature of Christ in us, where will they find Him? We might not want to remember how filthy we were before God got a hold of us. He promises to remember our sins no more, but we better keep enough of our past in our present mind to remember who we were before we judge others. Thanks for your contribution from God.

I thoroughly enjoyed all of the church articles this week. My comment is that if possible we continue another week wth the topic THE CHURCH! We as a church body need to get ready and stay ready for th influx of people that are coming and are about to come into our churches. ANd these articles have inspired, challenged and changed my attitude about church.

This was a powerful message that I truly believe is the case of the church today. I joined a church, but wasn't attending as often as I should. A few of my family members are faithful members, but come home with "horror" stories of what the other members had said and done, that I wasn't as enthused about going back as I should. I am not a faithful steward of the word as I should be. I have my sins and transgressions, but I know when I attend church, I want to be happier than I have because the people there are supposed to be Christians, and I should be able to go there, fellowship, and be a proud member because these are supposed to be belivers and followers of his word. I should be able to feel healed when I attend church, not more confused and possibly angry when I leave.
Thanks for the word.

GOD IS ON THE MOVE OFR HIS PEOPLE, THE RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE OF GOD IS NOT IN A RESSESSION, THIS RECESSION IS FOR THE ONES WHOM HAS STOLEN THERE WORSHIP, TITHES, AND OFFERING FROM GOD. GOD ID DOING A NEW THING IN THE HEART OF THE EARTH. IT IS TIME FOR THE SAINTS OF GOD TO REJOICE AND NOT GET CAUGHT UP ON THE STIMULUS PACKAGE, BUT GET CAUGHT UP IN THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD. SATANIS USING THIS TIME TO CAMOFLAUGE HIMSELF TO ALLOW THE SAINTS OF GOD TO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE DEFEATED AND IN A RECESSION MODE, BUT THEY AREN'T, THEY ARE ABOUT TO BLESSED BEYOND MEASURES. THE FALLING OF THE TWIN TOWERS AND WALL STREET ARE ALL BIBLICAL PROFECIES IN THE BOOK OF REVEALTION. GOD IS BREAKING UP NEW GROUNDS.

You are absolutely right about welcoming those that look different and act different and those that are unsaved. The real issue today, however, is the fact that many leaders and their wives, as well as "saved" folk come into church and stand on the stage still dressing like they walked out of the club when they should know better. That is where we really are in the church today.

Amen, Sister!
Here's what the Word of the Lord says in Isaiah 56:6-8 (emphasis mine in verse 7):
6Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
7Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; FOR MINE HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED AN HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL PEOPLE.
8The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
We who are the Church must make an effort to be more welcoming to those still outside of His Grace because, according to the Lord, all are welcome in His Kingdom, if they desire to walk with the Lord. Weren't we all once "strangers" to Him at some point in our lives? Even His enemies before we accepted Christ (see James 4:3-5)? We must never forget that it was by God's free gift of Grace that we were saved through faith in Christ Jesus, and not by our own goodness, abilities, or accomplishments, so that no man can boast (see Ephesians 2:7-9).
We who are the Church must make every effort to be more welcoming because all are welcome in His Kingdom, if they desire to walk with the Lord.
Grace and Peace to you, dear Sister! And may the Lord bless all who seek to serve Him, in Jesus' name. Amen.

This is so true. It has happen to me. What can be done to get people out of this mind set because being there is not being in God's will. As christians our purpose is to help others turn to God and not being judgemental. I have come across so many people that has been in the church for a long time and they act as they have forgotten where God has brought them from not realizing that their story might can help someone else. "The harvest is plentiful but the labors are few". We need to be labors for the God and not the world
