Today, as you move through life, cling to Jesus. Hang on to Him. Acknowledge His presence with you and His Spirit in you. Trust Him!

Father, I pray to You today in the name of— Jesus the Christ. I have come to realize that I cannot do anything on my own. I need You. I’m trusting You today. I’m clinging to You. I’m hanging on to Your every word. I surrender totally to You. Guide and direct my life O God. Help me never to let go of You and pray that You never let go of me. This is my prayer today in the name of the LORD (Jesus) the Christ, Amen.

Psalm 3:
You are a shield around me, O Lord, my Glorious One, who lifts up my head. To the Lord I cry aloud and He answers me from His holy hill. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear ... Arise, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! (vv. 3-7, NIV)
Psalm 4:
Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! Thou hast relieved me in my distress; be gracious to me and hear my prayer. But know that the Lord has set apart the godly man for Himself; the Lord hears when I call to Him. Tremble, and do not sin; meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the Lord. Many are saying, ‘Who will show us any good?’ Lift up the light of Thy countenance upon us, O Lord! Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and new wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for Thou alone, O Lord, dost make me to dwell in safety (vv. 1, 3-8).
Psalm 5:
Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto Thee will I pray. Let all those that put their trust in Thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because Thou defendest them: let them also that love Thy name be joyful in Thee. Psalm 6:
No, Lord! Don’t punish me in the heat of Your anger. Pity me, O Lord, for I am weak. Heal me, for my body is sick, and I am upset and disturbed. My mind is filled with apprehension and with gloom. Oh, restore me soon ... I am worn out with pain; every night my pillow is wet with tears. My eyes are growing old and dim with grief ... Go, leave me now, you men of evil deeds, for the Lord has heard my weeping and my pleading. He will answer all my prayers (vv. 1-3, 6-9, TLB).
Psalm 7:
O Lord my God, I take refuge in You; save and deliver me…my shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart ... I will give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High” (vv. 1, 10, 17, NIV).
Psalm 8:
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth! who hast set Thy glory above the heavens ... When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; what is man, that Thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that Thou visitest him? For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. Psalm 9:
I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart; I will tell of all Thy wonders. I will be glad and exult in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High ... For Thou hast maintained my just cause; Thou dost sit on the throne judging righteously ... The Lord ... will execute judgment for the peoples with equity. The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble, and those who know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for Thou, O Lord, hast not forsaken those who seek Thee (vv. 1-2, 4, 7-10).
Psalm 10:
Why, O Lord, do You stand far off? Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble? ... But You, O God, do see trouble and grief; You consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless (vv. 1, 14, NIV).
Psalm 11:
In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me: ‘Flee like a bird to your mountain ... When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?’ (vv. 1, 3, NIV).
Psalm 13:
How long will You forget me, Lord? Forever? How long will You look the other way when I am in need? How long must I be hiding daily anguish in my heart? How long shall my enemy have the upper hand? Answer me, O Lord my God; give me light in my darkness lest I die ... But I will always trust in You and in Your mercy and shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because He has blessed me so richly (vv. 1-3, 5-6, TLB).
Psalm 16:
Keep me safe, O God, for in You I take refuge. I said to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.’ ... Lord You have assigned me my portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure ... I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I have set the Lord always before me. Psalm 18:
I love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge ... The cords of death encompassed me, and the torrents of ungodliness terrified me ... In my distress I called upon the Lord, and ... my cry for help ... came into His ears ... He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters ... He brought me forth also into a [spacious] place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me ... Psalm 19:
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul ... The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart ... May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer (vv. 7-8, 14, NIV).
Psalm 22:
My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Why do You refuse to help me or even to listen to my groans? Day and night I keep on weeping, crying for Your help, but there is no reply ... The praises of our fathers surrounded Your throne; they trusted You and You delivered them. You heard their cries for help and saved them; they were never disappointed when they sought Your aid ... O Lord, don’t stay away. O God my Strength, hurry to my aid. Rescue me from death; spare my precious life ... I will stand up before the congregation and testify of the wonderful things You have done….I will say, ‘...He has not despised my cries of deep despair; He has not turned and walked away. Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for Thou art with me; Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me ... Psalm 25:
To Thee, O Lord, I lift up my soul. O my God, in Thee I trust, do not let me be ashamed ... Indeed, none of those who wait for Thee will be ashamed ... Psalm 28:
To You I call, O Lord my rock; do not turn a deaf ear to me ... Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song (vv. 1, 6-7, NIV).
Psalm 30:
I will extol Thee, O Lord, for Thou hast lifted me up ... O Lord my God, I cried to Thee for help, and Thou didst heal me. O Lord, Thou hast brought up my soul from [the grave]; Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit ... Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. Psalm 31:
In You, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame ... Turn Your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me ... Into Your hands I commit my spirit ... I will be glad and rejoice in Your love, for You saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul ... Psalm 32:
When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; my vitality was drained away as with the fever-heat of summer. I acknowledged my sin to Thee, and my iniquity I did not hide; I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’ and Thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to Thee ... Surely ... a flood of great waters ... shall not reach him. Thou art my hiding place; Thou dost preserve me from trouble; Thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance (vv. 3-7).
Psalm 34:
I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; He saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them ... The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 37:
Do not fret ... Trust in the Lord and do good ... Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will ... make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him ... Do not fret—it leads only to evil ... The Lord upholds the righteous ... whose steps He has made firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand ... The Lord loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones ... He is their stronghold in time of trouble (vv. 1, 3-8, 17, 23-24, 28, 39, NIV).
Psalm 38:
I am benumbed and badly crushed; I groan because of the agitation of my heart. Lord, all my desire is before Thee; and my sighing is not hidden from Thee ... I am ready to fall, and my sorrow is continually before me. For I confess my iniquity; I am full of anxiety because of my sin ... Do not forsake me ... O my God, do not be far from me! Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation (vv. 8-9, 17-18, 21-22)!
Psalm 40:
I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in You my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed. Psalm 70:
Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord ... Let all those that seek Thee rejoice and be glad in Thee: and let such as love Thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified (vv. 1, 4, KJV).
Psalm 71:
In Thee, O Lord, I have taken refuge; Let me never be ashamed. In Thy righteousness deliver me, and rescue me; Incline Thine ear to me, and save me. Be Thou to me a rock of habitation, to which I may continually come; Thou hast given commandment to save me, For Thou art my rock and my fortress ... I will hope continually, and will praise Thee yet more and more. My mouth shall tell of Thy righteousness, And of Thy salvation all day long ... Even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, until I declare Thy strength to this generation, Thy power to all who are to come ... Psalm 107:

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them from their distress. He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men ... He lifted the needy out of their affliction ... Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the Lord (vv. 10-11, 13, 17-21, 41, 43, NIV).
Psalm 112:
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in His commands ... Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear (vv. 1, 6-8, NIV).

Psalm 119:

Dear Father please forgive me.
Please display your faithfulness.

PERSONAL SPIRITUAL HOUSECLEANING

(Prayerfully read through this worksheet. Let the Holy Spirit lead you as you go. This will take 20-30 minutes. The time will fly by and you will be blessed.)

1.“Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him while he is near. Let the people turn from their wicked deeds. Let them banish from their minds the very thought of doing wrong! *According to the verse above, what does the Lord offer you when you repent?
*What am I holding back from living a pure life?

God, I worship you as the One who offers forgiveness in abundance to me when I seek you. Thank you, Lord, that your forgiveness is beyond what I can understand???and that you offer it freely! I repent of the times I have walked in stubbornness. I invite you, God, to reveal the depths of my sin so that I might discover the abundance of forgiveness. May I be cleansed of any sin that is holding back the fullness of your presence. May I know what I do that grieves the heart of God.

*Right now, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the things in your life that grieve the heart of God. List them and confess them. (Are you tithing? Are you greedy? Do you have an addiction? Are you controlling?)

Lord, help me to see things your way. Help me to fall into line without fighting against you. I can???t straighten out what isn???t right in my life. Please Lord, do it for me. Help me to spend more time reading the Bible, than reading books written about the Bible. May you be my favorite author.

Lord, give me a sign today that you are working in my heart. Thank you for the freedom you give me and the hope you have revealed to me today. Be steadfast and be not afraid.

Be gracious unto me Oh Lord and keep me safe. Help me to follow you all of my days. You Oh Lord are my strength and my shield in times of trouble. Where else can I go? Who else have the words of eternal life? Who else can grant me peace? Not the peace this world offers, but the peace that guards my heart and mind. The peace that oddly enough keeps me calm in the midst of the storms.

The Lord Almighty is my only hope. Where else can I run where troubles cannot find me? Who else can I believe? Help me to remember your faithfulness in storms past. Let me have faith to believe and eyes to see that Christ is my only true strength. Lend me your ear Lord and hear the cries of my heart. Let my prayers be honest laments from the depths of my innermost being. Do not take your Holy Spirit from me, but restore my soul and lead me upon the path of righteousness for Jesus sake.

Let truth come from my mouth and may my heart never be against your standards. You are God and there is none like you. You formed all of the heavens and the earth. You created everything that has been created and there is nothing seen or unseen that you have not created. In all of creation there is none like you. You are my God and You have no equal. I will put my trust in you.

With a breath you blew the waters into place and made the high places land and made the low places to be filled. Great are the numbers of the stars Oh Lord, and you created them all. You hung them into space and established patterns in the sky to help us navigate; You direct the winds and air patterns to flow providing seasons of change. You are good and You show us your tender mercies and crown us with your loving kindness. Help us to cast off our self-imposed sufferings and selfishness ways. Why do we compete with others? Are we depending on our selves and our own strengths to give us confidence? Are we so distant that you cannot work in us or are our hearts hardened and unshapeable? Deliver us from evil and free us from our wicked ways. You stand at the door knocking. God, help me to open the door! Change my heart Oh God and renew a right spirit within me. Father not my will, but your will be done.

Help me to love and not hate, heal and not hurt, bind up and not tear down, build and not destroy, grant me mercy that I will obtain mercy, grace that I may extend grace, and kindness that I know what kindness is.
Teach me Oh God and let me see outside my worldviews. Open my eyes that I may see through the eyes of Christ and allow me to walk humbly with Christ all the days of my life. Help me to work with others seeking always the Kingdom of God and your righteousness.

Help me to trust You Oh God.
Help me to stand in the heat of the battles and not faint.
Help me to hold on to the grace that holds me together and help me show love toward others that they too may experience Your tender mercies and loving kindness.

You Oh Lord are my strength, I will not be afraid. AMEN.

Please pray for people to hold on to their faith. Pray for all deceptions to be broken off and pray that we will hold on to truth. Let faith arise!!!! Believers need to examine what they believe and by faith seal it in their hearts and minds.

Faith in Jesus - He is not a rock, nor a wonderful set of rules, nor just a special man - Who was Jesus? Think. We need to know what we believe.
He fulfilled every prophetic word spoken concerning the messiah. He lived, he died, and he rose again. Over five hundred witnesses saw him after he had come back to life. By faith we believe. He either is the savior of man kind or he isn’t. As for me, I choose by faith to believe that Jesus is the savior sent by God. Why, because sin is a real issue, and if there are consequences for sin - then we need a Savior. By Faith I believe he still lives and reigns and that He is coming back for us.
Faith in the Word - It is accurate. It has never been proved wrong. Archeologists are discovering that places which were recorded in scripture are actual places. The book of Daniel, which was once believed to be a history book because of its accuracy, was discovered in the Dead Sea Scrolls. The dating of these scrolls proved that the book of Daniel was written before the events took place and was thus a prophetic book. We can conclude along with many other facts that scripture must be trustworthy. In faith we believe it. In faith we stand upon the truths that are contained within its pages.

Satan wants to take us away from a foundational truth that God is an all-loving, all-trustworthy, and an all faithful God, who wants a real relationship with his creation. Our busyness, our desire to do more and more is like fuel that drives us and when ignited, burns us up.

Truth -
Jesus says - His yoke is easy.
Scripture says - God is able.

Pray that we hold on to truth and pray that every deception and every world view that is in us, will be broken off so that God’s truth will stand. What we feel is real to us, but it may not be truth.

In this time, we need to trust God’s truth not our feelings or emotions. We need to stand on truth. May we all take a long look at ourselves and examine the heaviness that is in our lives. May God deliver us from evil. The word says in John 8:31-32 “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” Truth does not set us free, it is the understanding or the knowing of truth that sets us free.

We need to stop, sit down, and know the truth.

He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Isaiah 53:3 (NKJ)

My thoughts of Jesus on that final night of His life on earth bring pain. He was betrayed, beaten, despised, oppressed, rejected, abandoned, pierced, spat upon, scourged, and crucified. Is there anyone with whom He cannot identify?

Often the world presses in and there is a real sense that life’s difficulties are far greater than we can deal with. We are bombarded all around with myriads of responsibilities and stress anxiety and worry seems to be part of life. I do not read in Scripture anywhere that Jesus was worried, stressed or anxious but always stayed submitted to the Father, unconditionally loving and teaching others.

When I think of Jesus I am also dumbfounded by His ability to be purposefully focused, never allowing the daily demands to weigh Him down. We all have been through difficult times in our life and after we recover we are more apt to identify and draw near to those with like difficulties. Jesus walked in our shoes; He identifies with us. Even at our breaking point when it seems the vise is cranking tighter and tighter around us, we can be assured that Jesus will be there to strengthen, help and bring us His protection. Call upon the name of Jesus and “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:7 (NLT)

Lord, keep us moving forward and give us strength to get through every struggle. Let us be disciplined not giving way to things of the enemy, help us hold our thoughts captive and resist evil. I know you will never give us more than we can handle.

The Road to Life

The road to life is certainly not easy. Those who are just beginning think it will be smooth and pit free, but soon find robbers and thieves along the way. Huge forests are filled with snares and old friends lure you back into the comfortable and familiar. The road to life is lonely and is walked by putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time.

There may be immediate successes as you travel forward. Those successes encourage you to go on. But what if the successes are not there? In the beginning of your travel, was there a healing or deliverance from your former bondages, was your thinking transformed and enlightened and did you realized there is something worth living for? Do not let the forest and the friends pull you back into the pit of despair or the luring arms of desire. Remember where you were before your rescue. Were you frightened and in despair? Were you tormented? Were you stressed and unhappy? Was there any hope in your life? Remember where you were. Were you being led to a place where there was peace and joy?

This road of life will lead you to a place of holiness where you will finally see face to face the one who has rescued you, the One who truly loves you and compassionately wants to take away all loneliness, despair, addictions and hopelessness.

You hear the world telling you, ?This is your last chance to have fun.? This enemy is trying to deceive you and is telling you a lie. Going back is for fools and doing so will only lead you back into bondage and death.

How do you know that the road ahead is not going to supply abundant joy and fulfillment? Could there be freedom, could there be love, could there actually be a purpose for your life? The answer is awaiting you. The question is, will you go? Will you go on this road in faith believing and trusting in this wonderful kingdom with a king who care for you? Will it be an easy passage? I can guarantee you that it will not be easy, but will it be worth it? I can guarantee you it will be worth it.

What are the enemies you must look for and stand firmly against?

Fear is one of the worst enemies that you will meet. He will keep you trapped and twist you inside out along with his friend anxiety. They will keep you awake at nights and tell you things will never get better.

Loneliness is another horrible enemy. He will tell you there is no one who will stand with you and how alone you are. He works through the father of lies telling you what you don?t want to hear.

Depression will try his best to kill you. He does not want you happy. He doesn?t want victory in your life and only seeks your destruction. He tells you life is not worth living and draws you down and spins you around and around in the darkness. He works with self-pity, causing you to see what is wrong with your life. These evil spirits tell you, ?life is too hard and you can’t make it..? They want you to believe there is nothing for you.

Pride will rise up and say, ? I am perfectly capable of walking this road by myself.? He collaborates with human abilities to achieve impressive goals, until one morning you wake up and realize you have been detoured onto a road leading toward a dead end.

The road to life is not going to be easy. You must fight the enemies along the way who are trying to stop you. You see, you walk this road in faith trusting the promises the Savior has told you.

Which road will you follow; the road of the familiar things and dealings, all the things you have known, or are you going on the higher road? The high road will lead, mold, bring life and get you to your destiny. Your choice.

Choose this day who you will serve; this world and its ruler, or God Almighty. Believe in what is seen and familiar and you receive more of what you have. Believe in the Unseen and experience far more than you could hope or imagine. Will it be easy - no.

Nothing worth anything is easy.

He wants us not to give up but to keep asking Him, keep seeking Him and keep believing in Him to pour out His mercy.
“Then (Jesus) said to them, ‘Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.’ Then the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man’s boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.
So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Lord, have mercy! I am in need of you! We are all in such need of you – in our personal lives, in our marriages, in our families, in all our relationships, in our jobs, in our churches, communities, cities, countries, all over the world. Lord, have mercy on us! We need you. We need more of your Holy Spirit in us! You are the one thing that is needed! Come, Lord Jesus, in your love and mercy. Come quickly. Arise and help us. Come down from heaven. We are faint with longing. We are in desperate need of you. Much of the trouble we are in is a consequence of lives lived apart from you in sin and rebellion. We take responsibility for our sin. We are sorry, Lord! We see that only in you - living according to your word and allowing your Spirit to live in us - can we truly live and be free. We reject those sinful ways and turn to you! We want to walk in your ways and love and fear you. Please teach and guide us. Heal and forgive us! Revive and restore us, Lord! Protect us from these attacks that constantly come at us from every side. Lord, hide us in you. Save those who are perishing! Refine us. Bring us under your loving authority. Strengthen and train us so we can serve you in faithfulness and persevere to the end. Your law is being broken, Lord. It is time! We need you! Bring your kingdom, your justice and your mercy. Reign over heaven and earth, Lord. We are longing for you!

Jesus, let us, your body, be ministers of mercy. Help us to extend mercy to those around us as you have extended it to us. Fill us to all fullness with you and move us in your will. Make us one in heart and mind. Let us move and act as one, all doing our parts and fulfilling our specific roles. Unify us. Bind us together with your love. We need more of you! You are Life. You are Love. You are Truth. You are Peace. Come, Lord Jesus! I know you are here with us. Thank you! We praise you for your goodness, love and mercy that endure forever. We know and believe you are the Holy One of God. You have defeated the enemy and are coming again to reign over your everlasting kingdom. Hallelujah! We look forward in hope and faith. We ask you to sustain us and help us to make it until that time – to endure patiently. We ask you to calm the storms that rage within us and around us and keep us from drowning when the waves get high. We ask you to give us more faith and courage to persevere. Help us to know and believe that you are able and will always save us. Let your power and love for all people be revealed through us. Preserve us for your name’s sake. Make us faithful and let our lives serve and honor you in every way. Let your perfect will be done. Let none perish but all call on you in faith and truth and be saved! Lord, have mercy!
