“Today you must listen to his voice.” Hebrews 3:7

Jesus has authority over all things and He speaks through all things.

Father God, thank You for speaking to us. Help us to listen and help us to hear. You are in all things and You speak in all things.  Help each of us to warn and encourage each other to listen and keep our hearts open to You. Today, I give You my heart and I listen. I trust You will allow me to hear. Amen

    TIMES IN OUR LIVES

There will be times in all of our lives
where we’re treated very harshly and unfair.
And no matter how hard we look for the justice
we find that it just isn’t there.
When we’re offended and in pain, our normal response
is to retaliate and somehow repay.
For we want that person to see how it feels
to have the heartache we’re feeling that day.
But as natural as it seems to want to get even
it’s the opposite of what God says is true.
For He is desiring that His servants be different
and be Christ-like in all that we do.
As incredible as it sounds, He wants us to repay them
with a blessing instead of more pain.
And He will give us the power we need to be kind
and the strength we need to refrain.
We have to trust Him and fully believe Him
Knowing His ways truly are best.
We have to be encouraged knowing He saw the injustice
and let Him give us comfort and rest.
The person who offends us is not declared innocent
by the kindness we place on their head.
But God takes all the heartache retaliation would bring us
and gives us a blessing instead.

Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water.” Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. - Numbers 20:8, 11

Let’s focus on listening to His word as we hear to His voice.

Let’s pray that we will be able to listen to God’s voice…and that we clearly understand His command to each of us in every situation in life.

You may not yet have seen your victory, but you know by faith that the victory has already been won at the cross. So live like a victor, not a victim!

Help me live victoriously today, Lord Jesus. Amen.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper! So, sickness has got to go! Lack of finances has got to go! Foreclosure and repossessions have got to go! Everything the devil tries to throw at you, has got to go! The troubles that you are experiencing has got to go! Oh, they may form in our lives, but God says NO WEAPON.

Isaiah 30:18.And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

Isaiah 30:19.For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.

Isaiah 30:20.And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:

Isaiah 30:21.And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

    But God’s not finished.
He’s waiting around to be gracious to you.
He’s gathering strength to show mercy to you.
God takes the time to do everything right—everything.
Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones.
Oh yes, people of Zion, citizens of Jerusalem, your time of tears is over. Cry for help and you’ll find it’s grace and more grace.
The moment he hears, he’ll answer. Just as the Master kept you alive during the hard times, he’ll keep your teacher alive and present among you.
Your teacher(The Holy Spirit) will be right there, local and on the job, urging you on whenever you wander left or right: “This is the right road. Walk down this road.” You’ll scrap your expensive and fashionable god-images. You’ll throw them in the trash as so much garbage, saying, “Good riddance!” “

    The LORD is Passionately waiting to be Gracious to us;
then why should we not wait passionately for HIM to work in our lives for the BEST that the LORD has kept for us.

    Lord, Hear Our Prayer

For all those who have fallen victim to hatred and inhumanity, for those loved ones who are left behind to mourn, for the souls of those whose hearts are cold, Lord, hear our prayer.
For the children who are being born into this world of conflict and violence, for women and mothers who suffer needlessly, Lord, hear our prayer.
For all those who have been forced into unemployment, who long to return to work, for all those who struggle to support their families, Lord, hear our prayer.
For the soldiers who are misguided in thinking that their bullets will bring about peace, for those who feel called to conscientiously object to military orders, Lord, hear our prayer.
For the children who cry in their beds at night and wonder ‘what have I done?’, for the mothers and fathers who must try to explain the unexplainable, Lord, hear our prayer.
For all the children who have died before their time, for the soldiers who allow their uniform to strip them of their humanity, for the healers who are denied the opportunity to use their gifts, Lord, hear our prayer.
For the redemption of souls of both victim and perpetrator, for those who commit themselves to the forgiveness of sins, Lord, hear our prayer.

Dear Lord, I thank You for this day, I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I’m blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God.
You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.
Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude.
Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.
Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And give me the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can’t pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak…
Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and can’t find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t know You intimately. I pray for those that don’t believe. But I thank You that I believe that God changes people and God changes things.
I pray for all my sisters and brothers - for each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes; that all their needs are met.
I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it in Jesus’ name.
    Amen!

    Psalm 37
4 For evil men will be cut off, but those who HOPE in the Lord will inherit LAND.
11 But the MEEK will inherit the LAND and enjoy great peace.
29 The RIGHTEOUS will inherit the LAND and dwell in it for ever.
34 WAIT for the Lord and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the LAND; when the wicked are cut off, you will see.

Did He say wait? Now, I understand. You see, before you and I can inherit the land…we need time to develop and exercise the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It takes time to stay in an attitude of HOPE. Its takes time to be HUMBLE/MEEK; It takes time to walk in RIGHTEOUSNESS; It takes time to WAIT PATIENTLY.

Is the Lord asking you to wait? THEN WAIT…PATIENTLY…even though wickedness and the enemy is preying around the corner. Wait…even when your health, your family, your marriage, child or whatever else seems to be slipping right before you. Don’t let the evil and wickedness around overwhelm and consume you.
He said: “WAIT PATIENTLY.” In case you haven’t noticed…the LAND will be yours for ever. The wicked are just but here for only a season.

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us. —2 Corinthians 1:9-10

Trusting God means realizing He is the source of your deliverance, and then staying within calling distance of Him.

Jesus, You are the source of my deliverance,
my healing, and my restoration. I will stay
close to You so that I may hear Your
voice at every turn and through
    every situation. Amen.

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even in our faith. 1 John 5:4

I have to say that it is so easy to get frustrated with life. I was listening to the radio today and it was saying that God has His plan for each of us and He doesn’t need us to do anything. He just needs us to follow as He leads. I know I find myself sometimes wanting to be the planner when God has already done the planning. I find myself wanting to run my own life yet at the same time, wanting God to be in full control. I find myself seeking His guidance, help and power yet at times, feeling like “what are you doing…….where are you at………why can’t I conquer this?”

I am reminded by today’s word that God doesn’t need us to do anything. He has overcome all the obstacles that stand in my way. I am reminded that He just needs me to follow and listen and trust. He needs me to be 100% secure that no matter what direction I am going, I am safe with Him.

I guess the only advice I can offer today is trust God. Trust in His power, authority, guidance, love, faithfulness and His word.

The power of God is within you. Ask Him to show you!

Through the voice of a pushy Canaanite woman, Jesus heard God’s call to him.  God spoke through an outsider, and her relentless faith helped Jesus see a larger world.  “Just how far does God’s mercy extend?”  Who’s in and who’s out?  Scratch that question – it’s not about defining those lines, because in this story we see the expansive and limitless nature of God’s grace.  I think God’s love and grace are eternally wide, big, and beyond anything our minds can conceive.  What God does is help us to see, to open our arms wider, and to erase the lines we have created between us.  God is calling us, through unexpected voices and at inopportune times, to an ever-expanding notion of grace.  But we have to listen – to the outsider – to the annoying person who approaches us when we are “off the clock” – to those who call us out of our comfort zones.  God is calling us to do away with our lines and limits; to go even bigger and beyond - where the lines are softened and then rubbed out entirely.  God’s grace extends even to the places where you don’t think you deserve it - and even to the places where you don’t think someone else deserves it.  Listen….God is calling you out… Amen

Isaiah 30:21 “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

The Bible says there will be a voice inside of you that says, “This is the way, walk in it.”  This is the voice of the Lord; it will not show you a map or tell you what you should become in the end.  The voice will lead you to the next step only.  You might feel ill-equipped for the next step, but don’t worry, you’ll have a treasure box filled with the right talents to be pulled out when the Lord intends for you to need them.  The Lord will give you the right things at the right time for your journey; your job is to simply follow that voice.  Don’t try to make sense of it, thinking it is a final destination.  And those items in your box, they are not really yours.  So, if you want some permanence in your life or a concrete answer, know that the only thing final and concrete is the Lord.  Everything else is up for His leading.  Walk this way.  Listen closely; He’s directing your steps even now.

Jesus warned against praying to impress others in Matthew 6, where we read: “When you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full.” [Matt. 6:5] Their only reward is the attention of men; there will be no reward of answered prayer.

The Lord will help us get beyond such hindrance to our prayers, if we will only release our self-consciousness to Him.

Father, help us not to be concerned over what others may think of our prayers. May we offer them to You and You alone. In Jesus’s name, amen.

    Abba, Father,

We want to be the people of prayer that You desire us to be, that You can use our prayers to release lightening bolts of power from Your heavenly throne. We know it is not the words we say, but the life we live that makes it possible.

And so we ask that You help us to live without hindrance to our prayers, to live in such a way that nothing in our lives will prevent Your desiring to hear and answer our prayers, nothing that would quench or grieve Your Spirit of Prayer within us. Help us to be those who pray with right motives, with hearts free of unconfessed sins. May we live with a spirit of forgiveness for everyone, no matter what the offense.

Help us not to try to impress others with our prayers, and give us hearts of faith that do not doubt. Help us to desire the enabling of Your Spirit to live in obedience to all You ask us to do. May we be generous, may we be considerate and respectful of those we love. May we never have an idol in our hearts, nothing we value more than You.

Above all, may we abide in Christ, knowing the reality of a life of absolute dependence, deep restfulness, much fruitfulness and the communion with Christ that comes with entire surrender. May we settle for nothing less, for we ask in His name. Amen.

Lord, this message is for me as much as for anyone else. Help us all spend more time in prayer listening. Help us spend more time in prayer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Our Father knows what’s best for us, So why should we complain. We always want the sunshine, But He knows there must be rain.

We love the sound of laughter, And the merriment of cheer. But our hearts would lose their tenderness, If we never shed a tear.

Our Father tests us often, With suffering and with sorrow; He tests us, not to punish us, But to help us meet “tomorrow “.

For growing trees are strengthened When they withstand the storm; And the sharp cut of the chisel Gives the marble grace and form.

God never hurts us needlessly, And he never waste our pain; For every loss he sends to us Is followed by rich gain.

And when we count the blessings That God has so freely sent; We will find no cause for murmuring And no time to lament.

For Our Father loves his children, Ands to him all things are pain; So he never sends us pleasure when the “soul’s deep need is pain”.

So whenever we are troubled And when everything goes wrong, It is just God working in us To make “our spirits strong”.
