By ourselves, we cannot hope to live like Christ, for we are not capable of it. But, controlled by the Spirit of Christ in us, we can! As we let Christ control our inner lives, He also control our outer expressions of that inner life.

We are made more like Jesus when simply learn to believe and depend upon Him as He believed and depended upon His Father.

We grow to be more like Christ when we get into the Word of God and allow the Word of God to get into us and change us. The Word of God is like a mirror that will never lie to us. It will show us what we look like from the Father’s perspective and it points us in a right direction to help us change. 2 Cor 3:18 says “But we all with open face beholding as in a glass, the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”  Oh if you will behold the Word, take a close look at it, it will change you! Don’t ever deny yourself an opportunity to become more like Jesus! If you never pick up your Bible and read it, meditate upon it, study it, act upon it and walk in obedeince to the word, you will never become more like Jesus!

We become more like Jesus when we learn how to say no to sin as we surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the One who gives us power to just say “no” to sin! One He empower us to say “no” to temptation, that when we will overcome areas of our lives where we used to struggle most. The more victory over sin, the more we look like Jesus!

We become more like Jesus when we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice unto Him. Because The Father will not force Himself upon us, it must be an act of our own free will. As we surrender ourselves unto Him, that’s when the Holy Spirit can begin His work of producing the character of Chirst within us.(Spiritual Fruit!)  God demands fruit! The fruit is our proof!

When Christ is formed in us, you don’t have to tell anybody that you are a Christian. They will be able to see the fruit of your life…which is Jesus! For somebody, somewhere ought to be seeing Jesus in us!
